How to wire amp to DVC subs
I just purchased a set of 10" Audiobahn AW1051T Subs (Dual Voice Coil Subs) and an Audiobahn A2002T Amp. Specs on the amp are: 2 Channel: 2 x 50 watts RMS, 1 x 400 Watts ACH power, 2 Ohm Stable, 1/2/3 Channel Operation (Mixed Mono). How should I wire the subs up to the amp? Should I tie all of the positives together on each sub? Thanks!

What are the power handling specs for the subs? Are they dual 2 ohm(hopefully) of dual 4 ohm? They must be connected correctly. It is conceivable the subs and/or amp could be damaged if not.

If you 2 ohms per coil per sub that would present a 1/2 ohm resistance at the amp. If you have 4 ohms per coil per sub that would present a 1 ohm resistance at the amp. Since you are bridging (I am assuming) you would need a minimum of a 4 ohm load. So, "2 ohm stable" should actually read "2 ohm per channel stable" So that means 4 ohms is the minimum while bridged.
I would wire 4 ohm DVC.... Each sub series to make 8 ohms per sub and then wire the subs in parallel to bring it back to 4 ohms.
I would probably 2 ohm DVC ... Wire each sub series separately and wire it 4 ohms stereo.
Either will work fine, I am not a big "You must wire the subs directly to the minimum" type of person. Having the subs wired 4 ohm stereo will pound too. Provided you have the gains set correctly.
