Connection Question

I am haveing some problems with an install and need some advice.
HU is a SONY CDX MP450 with 2 preouts.
Kenwood kAC6401 to power the four corners
polk momo 300.2 for 2 8" subs
the HU only has 2 preouts so i run the rear preout to the POLK, no problems.
I then run the front preouts to the KENWOOD and need to split the preouts so i can get all four to work but i seem to lose a front channel when i do this, its the left front, it will work if i keep the balance at middle but if i try to isolate the front left it does not make a sound.
Would a crossover of some sorts turn the 2 preouts into three for full accesablity for tuning.
Thanks for any advice, im no expert thats for sure.

Does it have 2 pre-outs or 2 sets of pre-outs?

My bad it has 2 sets of preouts, they are marked as front and rear.

First, try running both sets to the polk amp and make sure they all work (all 4 corners).

If they do, split the rears at the 4 channel amp and run the second set from there to the mono amp.
