I can give you some good info but what is your budget for this system. JL makes an awesome sub but you need some good clean power to run them and for the subs you are going with I would suggest getting a JL Audio 500/1 it is definitely worth the $$$ I had this in my Sporttrac running 3 8w6's the bass was clean and low.

try listening to some Image Dynamic IDQ subs. they can be bought for around $110 online for the 10" dont require that much power and sound awsome. Another bonus is that they are only about 6" deep from what i remember.
Three B, I will limit this to your question about the amp as I have a tiny bit of experience with the Memphis equipment. It is by far some of the best out there right now for the money. Excellent warranty and a great group of guys to boot. I am running dual MC84 (Memphis Single Voice Coil 8") subs off of a MC250D (Memphis 250x1)amp in my 04 Scab. It sounds excellent, wonderful reproduction, loud tight bass, just really nice all the way around. Memphis makes the MClass amp in 250, 500, 1000, and 1500. Right now they are quite affordable but I would expect that to change real soon as they start getting national attention. Now don't get me wrong here, there are a ton of great amps out there but for my money I'll stick with Memphis.
plus it's cool that they are from my hometown!

I have used Memphis and knew about them about 5-6 years ago when they first started to come on the scene. They have excellent support and stand behind thier product. I never had any problems with my Memphis amp. In fact, the guy that has it now is still getting great output from it without ever any problems (6 yrs old).
Of course the JL and Quart speakers are also a great choice.
