In two words UGLY and SUPERB. I personally don't care for their looks but I have to hand it to them in building a top quality amp. As far as other amp companies on par with them check out Zapco, Autotek (upper end amps), HiFonics (upper end amps), JL Audio, Rockford (power series), McIntosh, ArcAudio, Diamond, ADS, and TruTechnology to name a few. That is but a few that will be equivilant to or ever so slightly better or worse.

Ahhh...

I was thinkin US Acoustics.... and then read what you said Chris and was thinking....WTF are you talking about :o

But now that I realized you were talking about US Amps....I would say they are pretty good, but I have heard some bad things about their customer service.

I would put them above autotek and below zapco, but I haven't used them or seen them used around here for sometime.

US Acoustics

Not even close to a Zapper.

I agree, I also think that the Zapco is better than the US Amps both in looks and performance (from SQ standpoint of course).

I have had nothing but good experiences with US Amps support but that is from limited contact. Only contacted them a few times in the past for schematics and parts lists but they always helped out. Not sure how their direct customer support is.
