what amp for alpine type r's....

Hi, I have a 99 Lightning and I just got my Thunderform Box and ordered 2 Alpine Type R's 1041. I need an amp and don't know whcih one to get. If you could help me i am keeping the stock head unit...at least for now. I'd like to spend around $200 for the amp. Thanks

Hmm, dual 4-ohm voice coils can be tough to find a cheap amp. but, I hear good things about the JBL BP series, the 600.1 should be under $200 shipped and is 1-ohm mono stable providing 600wrms, or 300 to each one. Perfect for those drivers.

i just got the same sub on thursday and it is incredible i love it.

personaly i dont like premade boxes but to each is own.

anyhow as far as the amp goes i am using one of the new v12 digital alpine class D amps. This is one bad amp that has more tuneablility then you could ever ask for. circuitcity sells them for 299 but i got it at soundadvice for only 197. it pushes my single 1241D Alpine sub to 131.24 SPl off the dash. i know thats not alot as far as SPL levels go but for a single twelve in a tiny box thats alot of bass no matter how you look at it. you wont be dissapointed
