Why do you need to buy a place to put your left foot? There are an unlimited number of positions to place your left foot on the floor and door cup holder and such.

.
Am planning on installing a dead pedal next spring. Have already determined that it's feasible.

Removed the LH lower plastic kick panel and while there's nothing to directly bolt the dead pedal to, it appears that fabricating a metal bracket is doable. Thought being to bolt the bracket to metal structure of the lower cab' section; one end towards the cowl and the other towards the door.

Then bolting the following Ford Motorsport dead pedal to it thru the kick panel.

*Though -obsolete-, can still be found on Ebay for not much $$$$$.

Pic' of an installation in my 2003 Crown Victoria LX Sport .....

*And NO, it doesn't interfere with the emergency/parking brake.

I built one for my '04 shortly after I got it. I was to used to the one in the car and just couldn't get comfortable without it. I just used materiel that I had around and it looks like Ford built it into the truck, which I think they should have! If I can figure how to post pictures (never done it anywhere) I'll post 'em and a write-up of how to. It wasn't hard and it didn't take more than a couple hours to do the whole thing. I absolutely love it. No interference with the EB at all.

Just ordered one from eBay. Around $10, there are a few up there if anybody wants one!
Thanks again for the idea!

I'm going to have to try to take that plastic piece out of there and check to see what is back there, first. Just generally don't have the b@lls to pull something like this off.

Thanks for sharing. Maybe I can buy the pedal and then have someone do the installation.

Thanks

Tom

@statgator

I may not have time to do the install within the next two weeks or so (College student, finals time) but I will take pictures of the install, and I'll try to do a little write up in case anyone else wants to try this.

Uhoh, this is the second write up I've promised to do over break... haha, this is going to be fun.
