Edge Evolution Question 05' F150 5.4L
I just recently purchased my edge, very good programmer. Quick question for you edge guru's. I have 36" tires with a lift on my truck and i read in the instruction manual, when changing tire size on the programmer, to change it gradually. Does this have to be done? Or can i go straight to my tire size without doing it in a gradual manner. What could happen? Thanks in advance.
Well, if you had to do that, I'd say that's it's not really a very good 'grammer after all.
If you have an accurate ( as in, YOU measured it) number - just plug that in.
It's software - it doesn't care about the degree of correction you input - as long as it's accurate. And actually - it doesn't give a chit about that, either.
EDIT:
I just read the online manual - you are mis-reading it.
This section:
"When adjusting the following values, it is highly advised to make gradual changes as opposed to aggressive changes. This will help avoid possible engine or transmission damage."
Applies to the next group of Custom options ( e.g.WOT shifting, shift points, etc). NOT Tire size!
Now go read it again 5 times, as penance LOL!
Jeez - I don't even own one 'o these POS's .... I can't believe I'm providing support lol.
