Why don't you focus on getting those 38s on there?

With our trucks IFS I would not go any bigger than 37's or 38's, and even that is pushing it...

I said it before, personally I would NOT go with anything bigger than 38s on IFS with a daily driver.

Reinforce the IFS? Steering stabilizer, front ladder bars/struts, high angle cv half shafts, upper & lower control arms...I would do a steering stabilizer (my steering rack snapped in half). Running 37's cost me my 4wd (tcase problem, still haven't figured it out), the 37's clearly don't help. You will be fine running 40's, there are many people running them (on an FTS lift) and Craig (went to pismo with 41" Iroks, 12" FTS + 3" Body & 4.88's) used his truck out there with no problems and spoke of some other adventures he's taken it on. I wouldn't be too worried, you have lightweight tires.

It will only last as hard as you wheel it, keep it on the street and you'll be perfectly fine. Taking it offroad every now and then shouldn't hurt it as long as you aren't getting tons of wheel hop, smashing on the gas from a stop in 4wd, etc. Just keep an eye on your steering rack (stabilizers won't even save it if you get wedged).

anything bigger than 38's ? if i save enough money, find a buyer for my fabtech suspension system i wanna get the fts or whiplash kit and put some 44/49 inch tires, its fine as long as u don't romp on the truck and as long as u treat it with respect
