Bigyellowtruck! Do NOT purchase from Custom Wheels direct, HORRIBLE customer service. They were arguing with me on the phone about cancelling my order (found out they were knockoff Mazzi Hulks and 5.5" instead of 4.5" backspacing). So I called and asked politely, they took full advantage and began rudely asking and sighing, "Ahh come on man, why do you want to cancel your order?" I continued to be polite but they persisted, this went on for about 10-15 minutes. They eventually hung up on me after I insisted (for the 10th time to cancel my order) and finished the convo with "Fine, your order is cancelled."

I think you should call and remind them of this conversation, they'll probably ask you "which one" as I know I'm not the first. They should be reminded that is losing them sales. It happened twice with 2 different people (I believe they were 2 different guys) in their company. I went with Discount Tire Direct and couldn't be happier, and the Grapplers got off backorder a few weeks later. Overpriced d**ks.

Your 8.8 front will not hold up to any type of wheeling running a 44 so just keep it on the street and you'll be ok. I've seen d44's snap from a 38" tire climbing a steep hill. You really need to do a solid front swap, shouldn't be much more and you'll have one of the nicest new F-150's period.

Now post some new pics of your truck for saving you a headache :P

You should be ok, if you offroad every weekend you're going to break something pulling someone out, fording through water, etc. It's hard to say whether it will be anything significant or hard to fix as you never know, you're borderlining what we can take along with myself. Don't drive it too hard offroad, use your head and you'll be fine. Your tires are not that heavy nor are they very aggressive so their bite won't be violent on most terrain.

The STS won't excel in mud but should not sink in slop too quick either so you can have fun either way (15.5" of width will help). I'd say you'll be fine as it took many trips of abuse to finally have some significant drivetrain damage like steering rack & tcase, and aren't you under warranty anyway? Dave had his driveshaft and transmission serviced under warranty and he's lifted.

yea....but dealers down here in GA are real sticklers.....they hate using the warranty hahah....id be VERY lucky to get work done under warranty after im lifted and new gears.

its a possibility though because the guy i bought from we go to him everytime we take it in for oil changes and all...always the same guy cause he was real knwoledgeable and nice....he wasnt a shark.

a buddy of mine with a 96 3500 is doing a solid axel swap and jacking it up about 10" with 40's or 44's right now and he has already put in about 2000. He bought a dana 60 axle, and you have to buy all the parts to do the swap plus you loose "the ride" you would probably be better off going to a super duty unless you really like the f150.
