my build date is 11/04 and I just had to have my plugs replaced as well as Fuel Injectors # 2 and 5. The TSB is 06-3-3, This article supersedes TSB 05-25-5 to update the model years and Service Procedure.
Some 2004-2005 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 5.4L 3V engine, may exhibit the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) on with misfire diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0300 through P0308 and/or P0316, and a spark knock.

KC-10 FE out...

Those came out of my truck at about 27K miles.

Hey Quintin,

Why are 2 of the plugs darker than the others? It looks like oil in the pic.

Those are the ones he oiled down to facilitate removal from what I remember..... I removed mine at 26K to replace with PZT-1F's that Roush sent me and found the problematic PZT-2F's in mine with a build date of 01/05. Here is a pic of mine after removal.....

What Matt sez. About a week prior to me replacing them, I pulled #1 and #6 just to see what they looked like and how they'd come out. At that time, I didn't really plan on replacing all of them, so I put a little dab of dielectric grease on those two and slammed them back in. That black stuff is the residue of the grease on those plugs.

Just curious, how soon should I replace the plugs on my truck? I do a lot of stop and go driving. (I'm an A/C contractor) I waited until 100k on my V-10, and they looked fine. Also has Ford resolved the problem with plugs blowing out?
