My first post. Ok here it goes, I have a 2023 F-150 Powerboost 6.5 Box Lariat, It is at Freedom Ford in Edmonton, Alta broken to say the least. I was about 5 miles away, I turned a corner, we recently had a heck of a storm I was in 4X4 High, then the truck starts acting weird, I would describe it like the chugging like an old steam locomotive taking off, the transmission became super erratic, or that was my guess. So, I drive very carefully to Freedom Ford, I get the shop Foreman and he drives it, we are driving out of the parking lot and he feels exactly what I describe, get this. The wheels just touch the street then the big red message saying "STOP SAFELY NOW!!!" appears on the dash guage cluster, we get turned around he is trying to make the service door and the truck just dies right at the door, dead as a door nail, no gears, no nothing. he suspects the transmission, or transmission pump as they are electric on Powerboost, I was told that the lurching I was feeling could be pump cavitation consequently starving the transmission for oil now it might be good night Transmission, has anyone experienced this type of problem?

Instead of going in to a long drawn out post about all the problems I have had, because I have had an incredible amount of problems with this truck. After going to 4 dealers complaining about a noise under the truck at 120 Km/h no one could find it, they just kept replacing random parts. I the took it to my selling dealer 4 hours away in Lethbridge and they found it, the problem was the transfer case. So, they go on to the Tech Hotline and the person at Ford says to replace this, that, and the other thing, put it all back together 3 weeks later and Mr. Customer will be all smiles, not quite. I desperately needed a holiday in September and I wanted to see the implosion of the old Tropicana more than life itself so I drove to Vegas with a howling Transfer Case, I lost all kinds of money and now was feeling whole again now that I'm broke, so I arrived back at College Ford again in Lethbridge, the transfer case came out again and got rebuilt, this time they got it right and the friendly staff and ownership graciously gave me a new 2024 XLT F-150 off the lot to drive.

I have all the updated OASIS Reports and Warranty history saved on this computer, it's extensive, so extensive that I have been offered Trade Assistance from Ford of Canada and have accepted it. Historically I have always had F-150 King Ranch, this is my first ever Lariat, I got this truck by accident when I sold a company I was a partner in and the new buyer didn't want the 4 trucks, so this truck wasn't actually going to be mine, it just turned out that way. I understand how trade assistance works now, I can not buy a competitive brand for as cheap as I can get another Ford now, I think this is a one off I hope, I have ordered 2 - 2025 F-150 King Ranch Powerboosts and Ford has the best fleet discounts, they will be in I' am told the second week of February, I will keep you all posted on what the final problem was with the "STOP SAFELY NOW" message, if anyone wants more details, just let me know.
