2022 window problem

I haven't seen anything on here regarding this issue so if this has already been discussed I apologize and ask for someone to point me in the right direction.

First off, I purchased this truck in February and it was already a year old. I purchased earlier than I wanted to because my 2011 was having some issues that I can't seem to locate and fix. My job heavily relys on driving a truck specifically for hauling items often. Needless to say I haven't been able to rely on this one much either.

My current problem is my rear passenger window won't roll back up. I haul the band trailer for my daughter's school and as I was backing up I rolled the windows down so I can see and hear my wife better on when to stop. Then I tried rolling the windows back up and that one will not. I hear a click but it stays down.

So now I'm sitting at an "away game" with no tools to disassemble the door to try to get it to go back up. I have to sit in the truck and miss the first game that my freshman daughter is wearing a brand new uniform for the first time. That may not seem like much to others but we have raised money over the last 2 or 3 years to get new uniforms and I have to miss her inaugural event. I also have a senior daughter in guard and I get to miss both of them performing tonight. I'm just glad it's not going to rain tonight. I couldn't drive the 2011 because it's having a "Service Advance Trac" warning light that I keep throwing money at for mechanics to fix but they can't. This is beyond frustrating because after I bought this truck I got a recall immediately for a wiper motor. It's still not in yet and there is so much quirky things with electronics on this thing that it's irritating. I get it things happen but why does it have to happen at the wrong time?

Any advice to get this thing back up until I can call the dealer on Tuesday?

Thanks for listening.

You'll need tools to get that window up. Sounds like it may need assistance pushing it up. Only way to do that is take the door skin off, push it up with your hand while pushing the button. Worst case you can push the window all the way up by hand.

Do a quick search to find a Harbor Freight and grab some basic tools and keep them in the truck. I always keep small tool sets in my trucks.

Problem solved today at the dealer. It was in fact the driver's switch and luckily they had one in stock. The main issues I've had out of this truck and my last one was mostly electrical issues. If they are moving toward all electric does this mean we will see more problems that will hinder the driveability of the vehicles? I'm scared to go all electric with the problems I've had. This one left me hanging for 5 days since it was a Friday night on a holiday weekend. I'm grateful I had a backup but it has its problems too that I can't seem to resolve. And it's electrical too.

I'm not worried that gas/diesel vehicles are going anywhere, especially trucks and very large SUVs/vans. Cars/sedans, small pickups, and compact SUVs might be electrified, but even that, it'll be a far stretch of the imagination to get people buying them.

Even some of the greenies are realizing the negative impacts from mining lithium and other battery chemicals, all the copper wire for the motors, etc. Along with the long term effects it has on the planet. Forbes just had an an article about it this week: https://www.forbes.com/sites/daneber...h=54bb8a982249

The reality of it is, ICE engines can be greener than an EV if they are fed green/renewable fuels. In fact, renewable diesel and biodiesel has been proven to be cleaner with more thermal efficiency than gasoline and with minimal processing versus ethanol. Why we aren't headed in this direction is beyond be (other than politics and follow the money games).

All high hopes and dreams, but we'll see long term. If something else doesn't happen between now and then.
