2022 Platinum With 150 Miles Already in The Shop

Haven't posted on here for awhile put this crew has always led me in the right direction. I bought a new 2022 Platinum 3.5L on Wed night. Yesterday afternoon I started to accelerate and it wouldn't go faster than about 10 mph. It was sputtering almost. I pulled over, turned the motor off and then when I tried to turn it back on it continued to sputter and wouldn't turn over. The dealer had it towed in. It's throwing a bunch of electrical codes that they can't figure out. They said they were on the phone with Ford all day and couldn't find a fix. They're going to try a fuel pump on Monday and see if that's the problem...

Has anyone else experienced this? Should I cut bait on this one and have them get me another one? Could it be a lemon?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

If the fuel pump doesn't fix it, push for a replacement vehicle. I doubt it's the fuel pump if it's throwing a bunch of electrical codes.

You mean it turns over but doesn't start, right?

Correct. It turns over but will not start.

What is needed is a good diagnostic technician. If you know the codes, will you post them?

This didn't end well but it's probably for the best. They replaced the fuel pump and said that fixed the problem. I asked for them to put some additional warranty on the truck or atleast a loaner for the first year if I started having a bunch of issues. They came back and said they couldn't give me the truck because they weren't sure it was fixed. This was after the service department had already called and said it was good to go. I hadn't got the truck for under sticker because of some screw ups they had along the way. I think this gave them the window they needed to backup out of the deal. The paper ls were signed and the check had been cashed but they wouldn't let me take the truck. Said they were going to use it as a loaner or let the GSM drive it for a few months to see if it was fixed.

Legally, they can't back out of the deal if you force the issue but it might be best for you if they take it back and refund your money.

Probably for the best to take the money and run. That particular truck is probably going to be a lemon no matter where it winds up.
