If you're in the market for a new Ford, it might be worth waiting a few days. The company will reportedly launch a massive sale called the "Friends and Neighbors Pricing Event" running from November 3 through January 4, according to a leaked document obtained by The Detroit Free Press. The campaign will offer no-haggle, X-plan pricing to the general public, plus additional incentives for certain models.
Covering new 2014 through 2016 Fords, the discounts could mean hundreds or even thousands of dollars off for consumers. For those willing to wait a little longer, the automaker plans even bigger incentives on Black Friday. According to The Detroit Free Press, the extremely popular F-150 is included, but unfortunately Ford won't extend these bargains to some performance or commercial models. The document doesn't mention whether Lincoln is also included.
Have they deleted the brushed aluminum tailgate plate for the king ranch
It is deleted on the KR when it doesn't have the chrome package.
If I was in the market for a truck right now I'd take a look at this deal. It reminds me of what they did in 2005 with the Ford Family Pricing. $10,000 off. A fair deal with no need to haggle. But this will be good for you other guys.
The deals are essentially X-Plan prices, which a good negotiator could beat anyway, so it's not really a big deal and shouldn't cost Ford a lot in incentives. What I saw was an extra $150-450 / vehicle incentive for the dealer for each vehicle sold at that price. The big thing here is the no-haggle pricing, and the fact that many will believe this is the sale of the decade!

The local dealer is already advertising $12k discounts on 2015s. Maybe they will be higher.
Capital Ford and others are advertising up to $12k. But you could end up getting less.
Most of the $12k off advertisements are counting down from the the top MSRP and including the $2k msrp discount pkgs in the $12k. Then they'll include $1000 in incentives a lot of people won't quality for, ie. college discount and military discount. Then they may also be including the $1k private cash offer. So that $12k off can go down to down to $8k off really fast.
I got $10k off MSRP last week just from the current rebates and discounts.
There are a lot of factors involved but it's the end of the year and you're can get $10k off. Ford is going to offer deeper discounts on the 2015s and discounts on the 2016s. And you don't have to get the discount. The discount will already be applied.
This is interesting.... no doubt that sales aren't where they want them but, are sales this dire?

Ford to Offer Deeper Year-End Discounts in Market-Share Push
(snip)
Ford is extending deeper discounts to claw back market share lost during the prolonged factory changeover to produce the aluminum-bodied F-150 pickup, its top-selling model. The second-largest U.S. automaker controlled 15.1 percent of its home market this year through September, even with a year earlier and down from 16 percent in 2013. Ford said yesterday that profit would decline in the fourth quarter in part because it would spend more heavily on advertising and promotion in the year’s final months.
“After the share loss from the transition of the F-150, they appear to be trying to shore up their position for the full year,” said Jeff Schuster, an analyst at consultant LMC Automotive in Southfield, Michigan. “And after the strong earnings they had, they have the money to do it.”
Ford reported yesterday that third-quarter net income more than doubled to $1.9 billion from $835 million a year earlier. Yet its earnings of 45 cents a share, excluding some items, fell short of the 47-cent average of 18 analyst estimates. The miss and Ford’s warning of a softer fourth quarter drove its shares down 5 percent, the biggest drop in more than a year. The stock rose 0.5 percent Wednesday to $14.97 at the close in New York.
Fourth-Quarter Push
“You have higher advertising sales promotion in the fourth quarter because of your year-end clearance,” Chief Financial Officer Bob Shanks said in an interview yesterday. “You move into Tier One messaging like football games.”
Ford declined to confirm the Friends & Neighbors program.
“We have not made any new announcements regarding future sales promotions,” said Erich Merkle, the automaker’s sales analyst.
Ford will unleash an advertising blitz featuring employees inviting their friends and neighbors to take advantage of the big deals, according to the dealer guide. The promotion and will include enhanced discounts on Nov. 27, the post-Thanksgiving shopping day known as Black Friday, and in the year’s “final days,” according to the guide. It also offers dealers higher commissions for participating in the program.
“Please use all the resources available to help make this the best sales event yet,” Mark LaNeve, Ford’s vice president of U.S. marketing, sales and service, wrote to dealers in the guide. “We look forward to big sales and a strong close to the year.”
‘Old Playbook’
Ford’s wide-ranging promotion is reminiscent of General Motors Co.’s Employee Discounts for Everyone deal of a decade ago. LaNeve, then at GM, was the executive behind that offer.
“It looks like he pulled out the old playbook and dusted it off,” Schuster said. “We haven’t had a program like this in a while. It will be interesting to see if other companies will try to counter it with programs of their own.”

Guess I should have waited until late December for a better discount.
Not sure about this discount plan. When I purchased at the end of July, my dealer listed the bottom line price right on their web site. I qualified for everything, and there was no trade.
Total looks to be about $8500 off bottom MSRP. Now, my $50,305 MSRP was the top MSRP before the $2000 package discount, but even with that factored out, the savings was $11,489.
I'm in the market, but thinking I should wait until black Friday to see if there are any additional savings. The gamble is I have only found a couple of trucks that I may be interested in, and I have searched dealers inventory with in about 100 miles, so they may sell by then. I'm firm on white, 3.5 E.B., and the 6.5' box, which both have in XLT trim. I have driven both, left the lot, and been haggling by phone, and email. So far here is what I have been quoted, I'm curious what you would do based off the following.
$37,999
The truck I like the most is Crew Cab 4X4 Max tow pkg 3.55 gears elocker.
$34,999
This truck is a Super Cab FX4 standard tow pkg 3.31 gears elocker
