Looks like a normal ecoboost under the hood. However I had no idea the atlas actually could run and drive lol

The wheels have the active shutter system. They look very similar to the current Platinum wheels but have slats that close off the open sections for better aerodynamics. The slats open during braking to cool the rotors and I think they lock open in 4x4.

Yeah. In other words, its just something else to break. I can see rocks breaking them in off-road conditions or road grime and brake dust accumulating in the hinge mechanism and preventing them from opening. I'm sorry. I'd rather get 10 mpg than drive around with those dumb looking things. The extra .0064 mpgs that they will add are not worth it.

I can't see doing any serious off roading with rims that have slats that open & close! LOL
