Question Cam Phaser Problem

I've got a 2020 F150 SuperCrew with the 5.0 engine. The click started at about 5K miles, but was intermittent. Then, suddenly at about 25K I was getting the "clanking" on most startups. At one point it sounded like a diesel staring up for about 15 seconds. I thought the crank fell out the bottom of the engine or the valve train fried. Went to the dealer with it. I had gotten the runaround when I first reported the problem. But, the new dealer service manager told me exactly what the problem was, cam phasers, and it is a problem for Ford. What I never found out was if this is a particular problem for the 5.0 V-8 or not. He told me that it's a big job and the truck would be laid up for at least a week because where I'm at the parts are not readily available. It took over a week, but while they had it apart the water pump was replaced, the belt as well as the phaser repair. I have a feeling that this phaser thing will reoccur at some point. I don't know why Ford keeps pumping out these problems instead of making a design change to prevent this in the first place?? I guess it's ship the truck and hopefully nothing breaks until after the warranty. BTW, all of the work, including replacing the pump, belt, oil & filter change etc all covered under warranty
