2017 Ford F-150 Replacement tires.

A few weeks ago, I had the original tires replaced at the local Wallyworld.
About eight days later, I noticed that 2 of the original lugs were replaced
with uncapped lugs. I called and talked to the manager and informed him that
I wasn't told about this nor was it written into the sales receipt. He said it's
normal that the capped lugs wear out upon removal and that he would check on it
with the mechanic and call me back which he never did. I think the mechanic used
a standard socket instead of a metric one.
Your written thoughts would be appreciated.

I would go and get quality lug nuts. Get some Gorilla nuts.

You may be able to get them to replace the two lug nuts if you want to go through the aggravation of dealing with them. The OEM lug nuts are trash and usually need to be replaced at some point. I agree with ManualF150, replace all the lugs with Gorilla and move on.

Good advice to replace with Gorilla nuts.

My 2002 had those questionable chrome over steel "laminated" lug nuts and the chrome was swollen over time, causing the wrench not to fit when I rotated tires. It's good to replace them with higher quality so you don't have an issue on the side of a rainy, dark, cold roadside trying to change a flat.

Just a quick additional note. I carry one of these in my tool kit ever since the swollen nut syndrome hit my F150.
