2.7L vs 3.5L ecoboost (not what you think)

2.7L vs 3.5L ecoboost (not what you think)

Why is the 2.7L have a compacted graphite iron block, and the 3.5L have an aluminum block?
Why does the 2.7L have its exhaust manifold encased in the water jacket and not the 3.5L?

Because they are 2 different engine families. The 2.7 is the Nano introduced in 2015, the 3.5 is based on the Duratec 35 (Cyclone) introduced in 2006.
