2019 F150 XLT Sport 5.0

ive scanned this entire forum and checked everything and I’m at a last ditch effort to avoid going to the dealership.

So I installed a non oem brake controller in the dash using factory controller harness. I used the forscan program and enabled the modules for the trailer brake controller and when you get to the dash, it recognizes the brake controller, let’s you adjust the gain settings, ect.

The issue is the brake controller says no trailer attached when you go to adjust the gain settings

so I have checked the fuse location under the hood #24 30amp it’s good and has power.

the 5a #4 under the passenger kick panel has no power on either side.

no power at the rear of the brake controller

i can’t for the life of me figure out why the micro fuse has no power on the kick panel and why I don’t have trailer brakes

 

Can you show us the non-oem controller?

 

I'm having the same problem and have done the same troubleshooting. Have you figured it out? This is the one I used from Amazon
