2020 F-150 Passenger Side Floor Wet

Hey y'all - Quick question. Anyone experiencing any leaks resulting in water pooling on the passenger side floor? My brother called me inquiring as he is experiencing this on his 2020 Lariat. I tried searching and didn't see much so I am thinking it could be a one off issue. I'm well aware of the systemic issues with these trucks, but not familiar with any leaks (aside from the pano roofs). Thanks guys.

I haven't heard of it. I would have your brother take it back to the dealer and get it fixed.

It sounds like the windshield gasket wasn't properly installed.

That was my exact advice to him... brand new trucks have warranties... Thanks ManualF150

You said you are aware of the pano roof leak. I assume he doesn't have one.

The only other issue is the seam that runs down both the passenger and the driver's side of the roof. My neighbor had a 2018 that leaked from that seam and pooled water on the passenger side floor directly under the A-pillar. The solution was some weather proof sealer along the entire seam. It's hidden from view so it didn't matter how finished it looked. The sealer stopped his floorboard water issues.

If you want to check it, dry out the floor completely, and run a solid piece of duct tape down the entire length of the seam (windshield to back window) then run the hose on it for awhile.

Good advice on a new truck to let the dealer handle it, but I always prefer to have the answers before I let the dealer screw with it.

There's a TSB for leaky A/C evaporator drain tube. TSB 19-2345

I suspect your brother's leak is not a 'one off' problem. During a heavy rain I noticed my F150 has developed a leak that drips from the passenger windshield pillar handle.

My sons 2020 F-150 had the same issue to the point he had mold under the carpet. There is a TSB for the air conditioner evaporator drain getting clogged. Bring it back to the dealer and demand new carpet as well.

I purchased a new King Ranch last July 2020. Last 5 or so months, I have noticed mold on the passenger side of the car and then realized it was all over front and back, water running through from the back to the front, front passenger floor wet and moldy. I kept cleaning it, not knowing it was part of a larger problem. In the last year, I have taken it for normal service to Ford (oil/tire rotation) 3 times but no body told me about the TSB's or defects i don't know why ford plays these games. There was Mold all over the floor of the car, dealer said front vents, pipes from AC and also the rear of the cab are all defective in the F150, it impacts at least the King Ranch 4 door. Worst part is driving this entire time with family and kids in the car. Doing some more research it seems like it impacts ALL F150s. It took them 30+ days to take apart the cab and get new vents or replacements for their defective engineering front and back, the mold is still on the floor of the car as it's impacted it from the start. It's sad Ford does this to its loyal customers.

Attaching some pictures that show the black mold that had formed, it was all over. It's a health hazard if you have this problem, the base of the car which is under the carpet won't lose mold that easy, sticking carpet over it is just not going to solve the problem.

That's gross!

I could only imagine the mold spores... I'd have them replace the carpet then use a commercial ionizer for a few hours in that truck to burn off the bacteria and growth.
