2020 F150 V8 "Whistle"
I have taken it back to the dealer....twice. they tell me its normal, and keep saying its the known transmission whine, which is why id like to hear that whine from someone elses. Its never foolish to seek knowledge.
My 5L does not whine.
This is where you get to by not stating you already have been back to the dealer.
The transmission runs on a hydraulic like fluid.
Sometimes the sound is fluid causing a vibration being forced through channels and metering locations.
It could be an air lock causing it.
Much like an earth moving machine the winds when being operated.
We cannot help you on such an issue.
Go back to your dealer again and try some other 5L for the same sound.
You will get more knowledge there than here, for your complaint.
Try another dealer, as well to be sure you're being told the truth.

i certainly hear the whine in your recordings, and i read where you stated you had already taken it to the dealership. I agree with Bluegrass that you should go drive others on the lot and see if they make the same noise. My 2015 5.0 doesn't make that sounds, but that is the 6 speed and not the newer 10 speed transmission.
The dealership I have my service from will not deal with me for a sale....they just don't want to "play". So I buy my trucks elsewhere. I had been bringing this new truck to the dealer where I bought it, which was stupid on my part.....I mean they put a tonneau cover on and it blew off on the ride home........
I took my truck to my usual service place and the head mechanic and transmission specialist came out and said, "that noise is to loud and not normal" so we made an appointment for Monday to dig a little deeper.
I traded in a 2016 5.0 with the 6 speed. It didn't have these sounds either. From what I've read its a new V8 and transmission since those.

The dealer tells me its normal. And he started up 3 2020 f150s with 5.0 and the 10 speed transmission to demonstrate it.
Its sad that my new truck sounds like a squealing pig instead of a V8 when I drive........
