Audio upgrade help

Hello everybody. I am wanting to upgrade the audio system on my 16 XLT SCREW (non-Sony version) but wanted to hear your recommendations and/or thoughts. I’m not looking to rattle windows and want to keep the budget manageable, but the stock system just won’t cut it. I’m ruling out the JBL concert thing as it appears I want a little more SQ, and the kicker package seems too $$$ for what you get. I want to add a sub behind the rear seat (Where the seat lift is still functional), replace all speakers, and add an amp. I’ve been researching this page awhile and it appears the Rockford Fosgate R2S-1x10 (
Amazon Amazon
) will fit with a little modification to the carpeting. As for the speakers and amp, I am lost in the sauce and am looking for suggestions. I assume I’ll need a 5 channel amp. Also, will I need a DSP? I am looking to buy all the equipment and have it installed by a professional. Should I buy a wire harness in advance or is that something the audio shop will have on hand? Lastly, is my best bet disconnecting the center speaker? Thank you!

If Crutchfield recommends it, you know it's decent quality and it will work and fit. Excellent company to deal with.

I've been using Crutchfield for decades -- never been steered wrong no matter what the question - simple or requiring some maths to figure something out.
