Turning and parking

I had a 2012 harley davidson f150 2wd and I loved it. In 2017 I got a new limited 4wd. MY son got my 2012. I had to get used to the ecoboost and a Roush tune makes it run really good and getting almost 18 mpg city compared to 13.0 for my 6.2 motor 2012. The turning radius of the 2017 is bad, don't know if it is the 4wd or what, but It is more difficult to park and manuver. This week my son was going up north so we swapped and I forgot how much easier my 2012 was to park. Is it me. the 2012 vs the 2017 or is it the 2wd vs the 4wd. I am honestly wanting to trade him back.

Here's the steering specs on the 2012:
20.0:1 (126-, 145- and 157-inch wheelbase with maximum trailer tow)
17.0:1 (157-inch without maximum trailer tow and 163-inch wheelbase)
Rack-and-pinion, electric power-assisted steering (N/A with 6.2L V8 engine); hydraulic power-assisted steering (6.2L V8 engine only)

For some reason, I can't find the specs for the 2017... in fact, for many years after ~2013 it's like a hidden secret.

Those are ratios, not turning radius.

2012 H-D 2wd turning circle is 47.0', 17:1 ratio; 2017 Limited 4wd is 47.8', ratio not specified (I assume this is because it's EPAS). This is assuming they are both crew cab 5.5' bed.

I immediately noticed how much worse the turning radius is on my 2015 vs my 2005... I have a 4x2 and its just as bad as the 4x4. I have been told that there are stops that can be removed from the swing arms or some component that allow more wheel turn, but it limits the size of the tires you can use, supposedly if you keep stock sized tires you should be ok...

This is also something I heard "from people", and I dont know if it's true. But these things are land yachts, so I think it kind of goes with the territory. I used to have a F350 crew cab long bed, so i'm used to driving yachts

Yeah, my '07 145" WB is nice to drive. I can turn that sucker in a keyhole if need be. Makes it great with trailers.
