Never use 1A Auto - Useless Service Regarding Tow Mirrors Assistance
Purchased Trail Ridge tow mirrors for my 2018 F-150. Although their instructional video was good and informative, it doesn't cover the 2018 wiring to hook up the puddle lights, and when I bought my mirrors last year, they didn't mention in their descriptions anything regarding the ambient air temperature sensor not built into the passenger mirror.
I've since read numerous blogs regarding the problem, and I just installed these mirrors this week, waiting for winter to end. Overall they work great, except for 2 things that popped up.
When I contacted 1A Auto about possible solutions, they had nothing, but to offer to sell me a Haynes manual. Useless customer service.
They got me big on this purchase, but never again will I buy from them.
With this being said - I do have an ambient air temp sensor plug behind my grill. If I buy the 2017 sensor and plug it in, will it delete the check engine light and close this circuit, or do I figure out a way to use the sensor from my OEM mirror to make things work. What has anyone else done?
Also, who's had any luck with the puddle light connections & the wiring on the passenger side floorboard? The wire used, and its location?
