Hi guys, I bought my Ford F-150 with the 2.7 Ecoboost engine in August 2015. On Friday the check engine light came on and the the error code it is throwing is P2450. The engine has 43,000 miles, so I guess I'm out of warranty and out of luck when it comes to a bill to take care of whatever the issue is.

Any idea what the error code is all about? And how costly and how long it may take to get it taken care of?

Is this a known issue with the Ford F-150 2.7 Ecoboosts made in 2015 and after? Common?

Appears to be a common problem. It may be covered under the powertrain warranty (5 years/60k) or emissions warranty (8 years/80k).

 

Thanks for the quick response. I was not aware there was a separate emissions warranty, that's good to know.
