Is it going to be more difficult to PTM those door handles?
Painter said should be easier to do because there is less texture to the plastic. I haven't tried to disassemble them yet, or even pull a door panel yet.
I did get my 2012 Raptor exhaust put on today with some minor "massaging"

I did PTM mirror caps and door handles on my 2017. The handles are a little harder to remove than on 11th and 12th gen F150's, but not too bad. If I can do it, you can do it.

Well I got my 5 handles and my mirror caps painted, totally looks like a different truck now, can't believe how much that helped with aesthetics. Also pulled the STX decals off the bedside.
The PTM handles look good. What was the cost to have all 4 doors and the tailgate done?
I've got a friend that's a painter, so I got a really good deal. I disassembled the truck and then disassembled the handles, so wasn't much leg work to get them painted

Not a stupid question. But yes I didn't drive the truck for two days
Disassembled and primered (day 1)
Painted and cure time (day 2)
Reassembly and drive home that night
The painting down time could be worked around if you were to buy an additional set of handles to have painted, then just swap them out in a few hours time

Thanks for the reply. So your painter friend was able to use the stock STX handles without issue?
EDIT: Did the mirror caps come off without too much issue?
