Backup camera blue screen

I have a 2016 f150 crew cab 4 wheel drive. At six months screen started having blue screen in the mornings when backing up, then would show backup screen while driving down the road. Took it to the dealer they replaced a brain part. Worked another seven months now have blue scream again. Dealer replaced scream relay. Picked it up drove it home worked fine, next mornng same thing blue screen. Took back to dealer now they say it's because I plugged a dash camera in the fuse box and it needs a new fuse box. Which is not covered.
anyone else had backup camera problems?

I had this happen to me but only after I had taken my tailgate off, the cable harness that connects the tailgate camera and light to the truck simply needed to be reconnected after I put my tailgate back on (forgot to plug it back in). Not sure if that's helpful but I would check the harness's connection tightness by laying behind the truck and reaching up under the truck. Unplug that harness and plug it back in. Maybe check it for debris while you have it apart.

I had a Blue screen leaving work tonight, I have a 2013 XLT so camera image is in the rear view mirror.
When I got home I tried turning the back up assistance system off and back on a few times with no result. Then I dropped the tailgate as it will set off the back up alarm. The camera came back on and seems to be back to normal. Restarted the truck a few times and camera worked every time. Not sure if tailgate did the trick or something 'reset itself' as waited about 5 minutes after dropping the tailgate to restart the truck.

You got to be careful plugging in aftermarket accessories as you have discovered. These systems in our trucks are not very tolerant.

2011 Lariat blue screen in rear view mirror camera

I'm having the same issue on my 2011 Lariat. I've unplugged the camera, blew out debris. I've thought about putting some dielectric grease on the connection. It works periodically and very sporadically.

I've have an intermittent problem like this when temps are below freezing. The service dept at the dealership said they couldn't duplicate the problem so nothing was done.
