Tried to get a deal on a used 2016

Found a 2016 F150XLT Scab 5.0 4x4 with less than 5k miles on it at one of the local mega dealers. Thought maybe I could get a deal on it but nope. They are asking $32k for it and won't budge. When new sticker was $44k so I'm not biting on that. Two years old and used and only $12k less than sticker. I don't think so.

Sounds like a decent deal.

Maybe ask them for 32k out the door.

I second that. Usually in the $34K range with 10 to 15K on them in SoCal.

They came down another grand so the price now is $31k plus $650 doc fee, tax and registration. If anybody else wants it, I'll tell you where it's located.

Hasn’t even had an oil change yet. Pretty cheap for an XLT crew cab 4x4 5.0.

Maybe the prices are coming down because the 2018 front end refresh... guess I am not driving the newest and greatest on the block anymore!

It's a super cab. Red in color. Looks pretty enough but I haven't been to see it since it is over a 2 hr drive to Capital Ford in Rocky Mount, NC.

$650 doc fee is highway robbery.

I bought my brand new 2015 5.0 supercrew XLT in July 2015 for $36k out the door, it stickered over 41 grand.

I don't care how many miles are on it, it's a 2 year old used truck and depreciation should net you more of a discount than that.

There's a ****load of 2017's and 2018's on the lots right now and not moving...

If there is a good thing about doc fees is that it isn't considered part of the sale price that gets taxed by the sales tax.

I did some looking around on the web and it appears that discounts of $10k are available on new 2017s. So, $13k off new sticker on a used 2016 doesn't thrill me that much.

Ah ok being an extended cab makes a difference/

I would look around for a new XLT or SXT year end close out.

If you want to buy a new one, buy 100 shares of Ford common stock. After 6 months, you can get X-plan, which limits doc fee to $100.
