Red face Faults while pulling camper

I have a new 2017 F150 Platinum with 2,000 miles. Pulled 30 ft. bumper hitch camper this weekend and codes come up regarding "Service Advance Trac", "Steering Assist Fault", "Collision Warning not available", Lane Keeping Sys. Malfunction" Service Required. Took it to my Ford dealer and they are telling me it's not a problem with the pickup, there's a problem with my camper. If I replaced the tail light bulb with an LED, that could be setting off the faults or there may be water in the trailer connection. Has anyone else had this type of issue or are they just telling me this because I'm female? I had a 2015 F150 that codes like this kept popping up during this last winter spell - wasn't towing a camper then. Appreciate any thoughts on this!

LED's can introduce "noise" into an electrical circuit creating all sorts of issues with sensitive electronics. If you installed an LED where there wasn't one, I'd remove it and see what happens.

It looks to me like you shut down at least 3 ECUs to get those errors - the ESP ECU, the airbag module ECU, and perhaps the power steering. Did the steering take more effort?
Its hard to say for sure, since many of the ECUs rely on messages from each other to function fully.

I highly doubt that your choice of trailer tailight bulbs is an issue.
and I highly doubt it is "interference" or "noise" from an LED bulb. Especially if said LED bulb is 40-50 feet behind the ECU that is shutting down.

But it could be something with a short in your trailer wiring that pulls down your truck voltage and shuts down ECUs. Most ECUs will shut down if the voltage drops too low, to avoid damage.

Check your trailer at the main connector - go pin-to-pin with a multimeter looking for shorts.

Then hook it up to your truck and monitor your truck voltage with the camper hooked up. Try stepping on the brake pedal. Keep monitoring until the errors pop up and see if your system voltage dropped.

Have you ever seen this error when not towing???

Thank you for the information. The errors do not seem to go off when not pulling the camper with this pickup. However, they did last winter on the 2015 pickup I had. They had to reprogram the computer several times on that one and are now telling me because I had pulled the camper with it last summer, it caused issues with it in the winter. Never did affect anything in how the pickup drove.

I have taken camper in and they have replaced the plug in connection - said it looked pretty corroded and it was a little loose. So I had them replace it. Guess the next thing is a road trip to see if there are still issues.

I had another person tell me to shut off the trailer sway on the pickup while towing as he had some issues with that on. I did turn that off and it did seem to pull much easier.

Praying that this works and I have no more issues! Thanks for your comments!
