Programming / pairing add-on keypad
Programming / pairing add-on keypad
My truck does not have the factory keypad on the door. I bough the Ford stick-on keypad and was told by the dealer that I could pair it to the truck by cycling the key on 8 times within 10 seconds. This would put the truck into "programming mode." So far I can't get the truck into programming mode. I've had 2 other dealers tell me that I have to bring the truck in to get it programmed.
Has anyone done this successfully?
Thanks

Looks like I get to answer my own question!
The ONLY way in which a 15 and up f150 can be programmed is by taking it to the dealer and connecting to the IDS. On other forums I have read some dealers charge a full hour of labor. Mine 1/2 hour.
Here is the breakdown:

Here is the breakdown:
- Remote keypad: $67
- Dealer programming: $43
- Not getting locked out of your truck miles from help: Priceless!
