I've just custom ordered a Lariat and am waiting on the VIN. Is there any way to track where this truck is at in the system (build order, assembly, shipping)? I'm heading on a 5k trip in July and the 10-12 weeks to delivery would put it at the dealer by mid June. I'd like to be able to plan on using the new rig for the trip since I would be on the road for 3-4 weeks and would like to do it in this rig.

 

When you have the VIN, send a PM to FordService asking for tracking.

I believe the VIN is assigned when it's scheduled for build.

 

I've received a VIN from the dealer. When I enter it in the order tracker, it comes back 'A matching vehicle could not be determined.'. Shouldn't I be able to pull a build sheet or other information now that a VIN has been issued?
