Good for you. Drive it like you stole it.

I love threads like this. I drive mine fairly hard a few times a week as well..... It is fun considering you are in a truck that really scoots! Sport mode can be a lot of fun.

That's what usually run in, it holds the gear so long, and when you let off it doesn't shift up, so the throttle response is amazing

Driving hard is one thing, revving it and popping it into gear, or redlining it is something teenagers do to their parents car or rental cars

Everyone is taking this so far out of context. I don't powerbrake, boost launch, neutral drop, or manual shift to where it bounces off the red line, I kieep the truxk in sport mode and just press the skinny pedal to the floor boards. And it's my right to do that. I paid for it

You'll figure out pretty quickly that there's a few people on here that are all hat and no cattle.

Thanks for the heads up, this is the first forum where I've had an issue. I've been on 2 other diesel sites and haven't ever had this many ridiculous responses

I wouldn't worry about it, My truck is floored every single day of its life ( MPT tune is to damn fun), see anywhere from 5500 to 5800 rpm before it shifts. Going on a little over 2 years and almost 60k miles and running strong as ever.

Its also had its fair share of boost launches of about 1800 rpm.

Just drive it, from all the threads I've wasted time reading, the ones who have some fun with their eco's tend to not have the condensation issues.

As stated, the engine management system is designed to help prevent any damage. They want the trucks to at least last the warranty period.

I guess you never were on a one lane 55 mph road with some senior citizen doing 48 mph causing a log jam during rush hour.
I am from Florida where there are way too many old drivers and fast and furious wannabes running on 3 cylinders. I am a very conservative driver but there are times to make a safe pass where you need to floor the gas and hit redline in a couple of gears.
Beating the crap out of a new truck for no reason is stupid.
