2016 F150 Spray-in bedliner causing delays?

I ordered a 2016 F150 SCrew Lariat Sport, 501A back in early December. On 12/28/15, the dealer gave me an ETA of 1/22 - 1/28. Now, it appears to be held up at the factory because of the spray-in bedliner I ordered. Does this make sense? Anyone aware of similar issues where the factory liner causes delays? I'm in the process of trying to get the VIN or order number from the dealer so I can track it myself on COTUS.

Know that's makes no sense to hold up the pickup for a liner!!!!

I'll just give you some advice on your new pickup. And please don't take it the wrong way... The new 2015/2016 have air intake problems the motor is not happy with where it is!! And the throttle body has issues with the push roads.. So there is going to be recalls on those issues.. I know because my very long good friend is a engineer who works at Fords and we both wanted to buy the new 2015 . But we didn't buy them we both bough new lariat 2014 that's were still available.. The reason that I'm just bringing this up is between him working on the motor and my sister having a body shop you get the inside scoop about things.. That's all it's everyone choice right.. I've always bought Ford pickups and I try to make smart decisions before I get another one.. I bye theme not lease theme that's probably why I'm that way.

Steve72 - if I'm not mistaken, both the coyote 5.0 and the ecoboost have overhead cams, so I'm not sure why you are talking about pushrods. Plus, you don't know which motor I ordered, and I've certainly not heard about the issue you mention any F150 motor, let alone both the coyote and the ecoboost.

I got the VIN and called Ford Fleet. Sounds like the issue is a rail car shortage, not the bedliner. Just my luck - I have a private cash offer that expires on 2/11, and I thought the truck would be here.

I find Steve's post kind of funny. One for the push rod comment and two companies typically don't issue recalls unless there is a safety issue. Unless the air intake position is causing a safety issue, it would most likely be handled with a TSB.

As to your discounts, I would make a vigorous argument that it isn't your fault Ford was unable to deliver your truck in a reasonable time frame. In my experience that wasn't necessary. The last time I ordered a truck, it took a couple months, the dealership honored all incentives that were available when I ordered and said they would add any new ones that came up. No new ones came up so I can't attest to their honesty with that, but they did honor the incentives that had expired.

Every truck I have ordered the dealer suggested we do the LineX at a local place here once the truck is delivered as it causes delays at the factory. I just ordered a 2016 Lariat and did the same thing again the LineX will be done when it gets here.

My dealer advised me that the factory bed liner is only covered by the Ford 3 year warranty.

Line-x/Rhino have lifetime warranties.

I ordered my 2016 Lariat 502a in the middle of Dec. I had a delivery date of the end of Feb., found out last Thursday that it was built on the 25th of Jan., in transit and should be here by the end of this week. I didn't get the Ford spray in, I opted for the line-x option because they do a better job and it's a lifetime warranty.
