Line-X is the way to go. I just had my 5'6" bed sprayed with standard Line-X and payed
$566 (includes tax).

About the same as every other truck I have owned. It has some scratches in the bed now but nothing I couldnt buff out.
I had an 04 Dodge and the paint was really soft for like the first year I owned it, guess it took awhile to cure.

I do not put bedliners in because I want to put it in when I sell it so its all new and whatever has spilled in the bed will be covered up. I also take the 2-5/16 hitch off and spray paint the hitch.

I think I may put a bedrug in this truck because it is so nice. Or maybe some 1/4 inch plywood, we put that in vans so they can slide pallets in.

I can't really speak to the bed scratching, since I had the spray in put in before I took possession.

One thing I can say is the other day I had to park in a parking lot with narrow spaces. I hated it an tried to park far away from everyone at the end of a lane so I could park slightly out of my spot, but some jackhole decided he needed to park next to me. That was bad enough, but then when he opened his door he allowed it to rub my truck. It was more than a touch, since I could see the path his door took on my paint. There were no dents and since my truck is black I would have seen all of them. I was pissed, but the damage was done so I took it home. I washed the truck and made sure to clean that area very well, so I could try to buff out what I could. It appears I "buffed" out the mark with just soap, water, and a sponge. There isn't even a scratch on the paint let alone in the paint. All of the marks on my truck were where this other guy's paint had come off his mini SUV.

Loving my Bedrug so far. The kneecaps love it even more!

And you should get a piece of 1/8" laminate, or those PVC bathroom wall panels, and cut handlegrips so you can push and pull it on top of the Bedrug. Simple and disposable, but very slick and slippery on the Bedrug. Slides wonderfully.

Well, when I get back from a trip I'll have the bed done with line-x. My old silverado had rhinolining and it was good. When this truck came I ordered the mat part of the bedrug and tailgate rug from Autoanyting.com. Not the sides. I figured with the hard tonneau cover it would be good enough. I hadn't put it in yet because the directions said "68 degrees to apply the velcro." So I decided to wait till spring. Then the scratches started. I do sometimes haul a lot of lumber so I guess the line-x will be good for the sides and front as well as the bed bottom. I just figured I'd be fine because as I get older I'm done with rocks, cement and dirt in my truck.

Anyone need a new bedrug 6.5' box size for a 2015 f-150 from Southern Maine. Half price?

If course if you slide something across the truck bed, of course it's going to cause scratches. What other result would one expect.

So, the truck bed was designed to scratch with just about anything beyond something really soft, like cotton? Plastic will cause scratches that completely remove the paint down to the whitish primer. Sliding a piece of plylwood will produce streaks down the raised parts of the bed for it's entire length. I've never seen something like this.

Did you actually know they use scratch proof paint on the hoods, weird they dont use it in the bed.

Dont believe me? Try sliding the same thing across your hood next time before putting it in the bed.
