2016 F150 Heavy Duty Payload

Anyone receive any information on when these will be built? Been waiting since December 2014. Starting to lose confidence.

Strange. I ordered a 2015 in December of 2014. Ford cancelled my order around the end of August 2015 and said I could wait to order a 2016. I did and now it is January 2016 and no one can tell me when I will receive my truck or even when it will be built.

Ok... so find one built, they are out there. Are you ordering something crazy like a Lariat in HD Payload?

Yes it is a Lariat HD. Not sure how that makes a difference versus an XLT/FX4 etc.

I was told there was an issue with frame supply last year when my order got cancelled. I would think after more than a year Ford could secure a frame supplier.

I originally ordered a 2016 XLT with HD payload in October 2015. I didn't really need the HD payload but I thought the package was a good value. Advised that it was late availability...u/k what that meant. In Nov was advised that the HD payload package was not being built until "sometime in the first 1/4 of 2016".
I cancelled that and just ordered the XLT with 3.73 rear end, LT tires and XTR trim. Delivered Jan 4/16

There were 2015's built with heavy duty payload package too, I saw some.

I just bet they are not making any, or few Lariats in that package (they never did before...). They also closed the order bank for HD Payload package in July, as I tried ordering one.

Unhappy The wait continues...

FYI...

Just received a call from my dealer today. The 2016's with 6.5ft bed and heavy duty payload package won't be built until June even reports had mentioned late 1Q16.

I ordered my truck back in March 2015, got cancelled and re-ordered a 2016.

BTW - I ordered a Lariat FX4 crew with 3.5EB, 6.5ft bed, HD payload, max tow, 36gal tank.

There's probably a market of about 5 trucks configured like that in the whole country, so it's not surprising you will wait

There's just not market for HDPP in Lariat

I would have opted for the HDPP with my F-150 Lariat which I just placed an order for at my local dealers just this past Monday. However Ford does not offer the HDPP on the 145" wheel base of the SuperCab with a 6-1/2 box.

We travel long distances towing a travel trailer. That combination would have made the ideal truck for me and others that like the luxury of the F-150. With the tongue weight of the trailer, we run out of cargo weight capacity long before we run out of towing capacity.

Which is weird, because they (at least used to anyway) offer the HDPP on the regular cab long bed pickup which has the same wheelbase, so it shouldnt be an issue with that particular frame not being strong enough

What makes my truck even more of a rarity is that I ordered the 40/20/40 front seats. There just aren't any out there in the Lariat, so I had to order the truck.

My 2008 F150 has the center shift console and I hate it. I need the extra space for passengers and storage.

I run a Lariat SuperCrew and will likely have to order my next truck as well to get the 40/20/40 seat. The ordering department for lot trucks seems to think that the center shifter is what people want/need. Oh well, I can get the truck I want and not some jabbered up combo the dealer thinks I want.

Agreed...I ordered the truck I wanted, not the truck dealers think I need.

My previous truck which was a 2006 F150 crew had the 40/20/40 seats and was much more comfortable.
