Navigation renewal

Has anyone looked into updating their navigation? I saw in the brochure it says it's supposed to have 5 yrs free. When look at the licenses in the system it says my Sirius license is good for 5 yrs, but nothing about the nav license. I haven't contacted the stealer yet, just wanted to see if anyone has updated yet.

Thanks in advance.

Navigation isn't free for 5 years and neither is Sirius radio. The only thing good for 5 years is Travel Link which includes weather, gas prices, ski conditions, etc.

Here is a thread about it on a different forum. http://www.f150forum.com/f118/sync-3-nav-update-325081/

Mod's if this external link isn't allowed please delete it

I read in the fine print on the brochure that nav is free for 5yrs with 501A. As for the Sirius, I meant the Sirius Travel link was free. Sorry for confusion.

The link you have talks about Sync3. My nav is on a SD card. Is that Sync3?

Hi tbraquet,

Sounds like you have the MyFord Touch system. johndeerefarmer is correct. Navigation is not free. The subscription to Sirius Travel Link is complimentary for a total of 5 years. You can obtain map updates from HERE Maps: http://allthingsnav.navigation.com/ Choose the make, model, and year to get started. A7 is the latest SD card available.

Ok. I just re-read the brochure. I must have read it wrong the first time. It does say the Travel link is for 5 years. Oh, well it was a shot. LOL

Does anyone know if when you update your nav, if your favorites and history will still be there?

They'll still be there. The information is stored in the system.
