Is there anyone techie enough that can tell me how to permanently de activate the factory installed alarm system on my 2015 Lariat? The dealer and Ford are no help and say it can't be done. I hate it and it's a nuisance. Apparently you can only get leather seats on the lariat model which comes with this annoying alarm. Also is there a way to open the tailgate when the solenoid fails or the battery goes dead? That's another ridiculous" feature". Thanx!

 

I think you can in the settings in the gauge cluster. Tap over to the right.

The tailgate will need to be opened just like a regular handle one when it breaks.

For the amount of bitching you do you should have bought a chevy.

 

If you don't know how to manually open the tailgate, please turn in your man card.

 

Or fix it with some string and a toothpick wittled out of a piece of wheat.

Guess with all that leather you can pay your chauffer to take it to the dealership to complain about it.
