I'm happy to be able as of today to add to this thread. I just picked up a 2015 super crew, 6.5' bed, 4X4, 355 gears. My trip home was about 120 miles of freeway mixed with 65mph up to 80, but I held at 70 as much as possible. I couldn't resist a few hard mashes of the skinny pedal. I reset the computer when I left the dealer, and got home with it showing 20.5 MPG, I filled up, and calculated 17.38 MPG. What I do not know is how many miles the dealer had but on that tank prior to my reset, but it definitely didn't include my brief test drive. I would say the truck did get close to what was displayed on my drive home.

 

Update on my first full tank burned. Fill up and calculated out, I got 17.11. Thats me driving mostly 70mph up to 80 on the freeway, mashing the skinny pedal when needed to get around the slow pokes. This is probably 80% freeway/highway, and 20% city.

I m curious what she is going to do once I load the bed to payload specs.

 

Well my third tank yeilded 18.49mpg. Now on my fourth tank the rumor of better economy after break in my be holding true. For the first time the computer read upwards of 23MPG. This is a mixed bag of driving including about 50 miles hauling a little over 1000lbs in the bed. Im expecting this tank will calculate around 20MPG when I refill. I have noticed my computer to report .5 gallons less than actual consumed, and to be off by about 1MPG.

 

Well my excitement has wore off!! The last two tanks I have averaged 11.91, and 12.06 MPG, after the lift

 

Yeah a lift and big tires definately eats the fuel.


At 3000 miles on the truck and the mpg have creeped up some. Not that it matters when you can fill up for $33.

 

I just rolled over 12,000 miles on mine and only once have i got over 18 mpg. I regularly drive 10+mph over limit so I figured that was pretty good. I did just get 20.1mpg on my trip to Destin. Love the extended tank btw. Not so good on the way back though at 17.1. Man I had the pedal hammered too so I was kinda happy with 17.

 

I realized with hammering the throttle and not taking long trips the thing is at 14.9 but dropped to 14.8 the other day. So around 14.


I don't really care anymore. My tundra was like around 12mpg or less if I remember.

 

I'm about 17,9. I drive like 90% highway however. About 4k miles so far. Everything stock.

 

I basically drive a little over 55, that's the 2 lane speed limit in most of Illinois, and I am getting about 20.5 mpg.

 

1200 miles on mine and 22.3 mpg average since new on the cluster with 3.73 axle 4X2, 99% 58/73 mph on expressways and 2 lane blacktops with hills and curves.
