New Lariat with possible problem
I have a similar issue on my 2012 FX4 3.5EB (only 42K miles). I have only had this rig a couple months; first Ford I have ever owned.
The steering wheel vibrates at a fairly high frequency and amplitude. It feels like my hands are going to sleep.
It is most noticeable at 40-50MPH. If I put it in neutral as I coast down the highway and let the engine idle, it is still there. So it isn't in the engine or blowers. I has to be in the drive train past the tranny.
It is fairly steady and constant. If it changes its not rapid. It doesn't change with different gears, acceleration, or deceleration.
I took it to my local dealer today. For $100 they told me that the front rotors were warped. If they were, it was slight.... The dealer was more than happy to charge me $600 the replace the rotors. I declined. For $150 in parts and 2 hours of time I now have new rotors and new pads (one was cracked). The pad slides were too tight (rust under them) so I cleaned them up so the pads move freely and used the brake grease to keep them sliding.
No luck. The vibration is still there. Glad I didn't pay the dealer to do it. Back to square one.
The tires are a bit aggressive but not new and worn some so I don't think that they are to blame. I had them balanced and rotated last week just in case. Tomorrow I will find one of the small dealers with an F150 on the lot with smoother all seasons and pay him a few $$ just to swap those onto my rig long enough to go for a ride and confirm it.
Any other ideas out there? ...not sure there isn't a new Chevy in my near future.

Thanks for the offer Crystal. I took it in and they figured out it was abad drive shaft. They didn't go into much detail, but the vibration is gone so everything is a ok. By the way glc, give the guy a break! He is just trying to help or get help for his issue.

Whoa.. the response I typed up would have felt way to good to post. Good thing I didn't.
Welcome to the forum, CLT! Did you swing by the dealership today? Come back and share how things went. If you'd like, I'll loop in your regional customer service manager (CSM); PM me your details to get started. When writing, please include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership.
Fantastic news, outdoorzman! I'm glad to hear that you're vibration-free now. If you need any help in the future, I'll be here.

I didn't make it to the dealership today... that 'WORK' thing got in the way. I will let you know how it goes when I do make it. Maybe tomorrow.

Hello All,
Just picked up my new Larial last week with 2.7 ecoboost and love it!
However, the last couple days I have been noticing when I let off the gas
to coast or slow down I can feel a slight vibration through the truck....
I can feel it thru the steering wheel the most, but its so slight that a
passenger may not feel it. If I put it up in neutral it goes away.
Any known issues about this or anyone know what this might be?
Thanks,
DJ
