2015 Ford F150 Frame Shortage

Just read in Detroit News Online that overtime shifts have been canceled because of a frame shortage for the F150. Selling fast so they cant keep up. Thats good they are selling so fast. Glad I have mine already and not playing the waiting game.
Frame Supply should catch up with demand in 30 days or so.

It shouldn't affect us too much. They are at full production and supply is at 77 days vs. 68 days only a month ago. At this time when the 2013s were built they had 76 days supply. It seems they should slow production anyway to bring supply down closer to 60 days. 60 days worth is considered optimal. Maybe the supplier issue is an excuse by the UAW to put blame elsewhere for the lack of overtime work.

Heard through the grapevine that the supplier actually had a major electrical issue and smoked some expensive equipment.....

The supplier had financial issues. Ford has fixed the problem.
