Cleaning in between the F and 0 seems more annoying than anything else. I like the look but I'd probably hate these emblems for that reason.

Get yourself one of these and then it really isn't an issue.

I just hope there aren't any alignment holes in the body.

More dumb vehicle design !! Don't be a wimp, don't use a Q-tip, use a baseball bat and keep beating until the emblem falls off.

I am hoping with going to Aluminum Alloy, that they have finally ditched the alignment holes.

Yep, now they just stick 'em on with magnets!

Oh wait...

Ha, I was thinking more along the lines of just the adhesive like everyone else. IMHO, I am not too sure why they had the holes there to begin with other than to ensure it was difficult to remove any Ford "Branding" from a vehicle.

The holes are there solely to make it easier to align them at the factory. Nothing more, nothing less.

The new emblems are better than the 04-08 with paint that chips off when you go through the car wash.

Exactly...

And this is exactly why they'll still be there too.

There great looking emblems.. I was going to purchase a new painted set of 09-14 emblems for my truck. I have them now but plasti-dipped and want something of better quality. I'm going to hold out and order one of these when there available to see if they'll fit my 04 or least cover the guide holes.

For cleaning the small nooks and crannies I use both of these for everything, emblems, wheels, center caps, interior, etc.. Along with other soft brushes of course..

My hopes are that since they can align the Ecoboost and Powerstroke Decals without the holes, that they may move away from it with the rest of the badging and the new alloy. It makes sense to me as it should reduce cost, reduce chance of a corrosion spots and make any bodywork in those areas easier.

Most badging with the other manufacturers don't use any type of alignment holes. It does make it nicer if you want to shave 'em.
