I've been very happy with my 2005 Roush Sport, but am looking to significantly up the anti with a new truck in the stable. Something along the lines of a 4x2 Supercrew Lariat with 373 gearing and a 5.0L, lowered 2-5, etc.

Right now Roush is offering 570 bhp at the crank with the Phase 3 upgrade to the 2014 models. I would assume close to 600 in the new TVS configuration with minimal changes to the blower kit for the 2015 models.

What are your thoughts on performance? Will the aluminum body hold to the ground and put down the 500+ rwhp this configuration could produce?

 

If a mustang can handle the power, a truck that weighs 1000 pounds more should too.

 

Install JLP long bars. They will significantly improve traction.

Thanks for the responses! Like the JLP recommendation. I am still wondering what your thoughts are on these questions:

1. Will 600 bhp be achievable with the Roushcharger setup considering Ford will probably bump power (or will they)? Or do you think it'll have to be a warranty-less setup to get over the 600 mark?
2. Will the rear end be able to handle the power without wheel hop considering the truck is 4-500 lbs lighter?

Really wondering if anyone's run TVS on the 2011-2014 models and what they had to do to keep power firmly planted to the ground. I'd like to keep a warranty of some kind (which Roush offers through both their own powertrain warranty and extra 3rd party plans).
