I read somewhere in the multitude of articles that the SCrew will still be available with the 5.5 and 6.5 ft beds.

Will they build a crew with a 6.5' bed, the answer is yes. I don't think there are photo's of one of those in the pre-production pictures but if you hit Ford's media page you can download a bunch of info. One document named "2015_Ford_F150_tech_specs" has a lot, but not all the info. And in here it does offer some dimensional/capacity specs that include cab configuration and bed length. The crew lists 5.5 and 6.5 foot beds.

This truck looks narrow. Closer to the '97-03' dimensions than the '04-'14 dimensions. Big nose just makes it look big.

It's actually 3/4" wider than the '04-'14 models. 2" more interior width due to thinner doors.

I can't wait until people start trying to retrofit these new body panels on 04-14s

If by 'extended' you mean SuperCab and not SuperCrew (full 4 doors), yes, you can.

For the most part, you can get any bed with any cab except you can't get a 5.5' bed on a regular cab and you can't get an 8' bed on a SuperCrew. There are also some cab/bed combinations that are only allowed with certain powertrain selections (certain engines and 2WD only or certain engines and 4WD only). If you go on the Ford.com web site, you can use the "Build Your F-150" tool and, as you build it, it will tell you what the options/changes needed as you build it.

While I am still up in the air about the F150 vs. F350 (6.7L PS), my order for a '15 F150 SuperCab with the 5.0L and the 6.5' bed just hit the Ford order system.

They make them. I picked mine up yesterday and drove towork today.
You cannot get the 2.7 eco 6 cyl in the long bed 4x4 only the 3.5 eco and the 5.0

Mine is an XLT w/302A Super Crew 4x4, 3.5 Eco, Tuxedo Black.
