Power Sliding Glass Leak

2015 Super Crew Cab 4WD Lariat with 3.5 Eco

I have a leak in the rear of the cab that I’ve isolated to the power sliding glass (weatherstripping doesn’t rest against the glass everywhere). I’ve seen a few posts about this issue on other year models and read how to replace the weatherstripping, but there are no OEM or aftermarket replacement weatherstripping for the 2015. I’ve taken the truck to 3 auto glass shops and none of them have a solution without replacing the entire back glass unit.

Has anyone else figured out a way to stop the leak while keeping the sliding glass active? I’d rather not seal it shut but I also don’t want to spend $1,000 to have the unit replaced. I’m not too happy as I’ve also dealt with the broken panaramic sunroof, all within the first year of ownership.

Looking for solutions.

You might have a stress fracture in the window frame. Only way to tell is by taking it apart.

2016 XLT with sliding window. I believe it to be the seals like you stated. Any fix for it other than replacing the whole back window?
