I stopped by the dealership to make a deposit on a order for an F150. What's the next thing I should expect? First time buying a truck and first time doing a vehicle order. Should I follow up with the dealership or should I give it more time? They gave me a window of 6-8 weeks.

I'd give the dealer a couple weeks, then see if they have your VIN for you yet. If not, get the order and dealer number from them.

 

Is fun to use that web site. I will give the current status. It goes from an order all the way thru assembly (which really only takes a few hours) to when its on train heading to your dealer.

 

The waiting can be the hardest part sometimes. Especially if you don't have the patience's or the truck is late getting delivered.
