My 2015 Lariat Supercrew had a grinding noise when the truck was shut off or started and the steering wheel and colum would retract or extend. Took it to dealership and had service manager hear the noise. They gave me a loaner and took a whole day to fix problem. Service manager said he first checked other trucks on lot for same problem and did not find it in those trucks. The dealership took my steering column apart a found little to no grease there and was quite surprised at the finding. They got it properly greased and it has been fine since.
