Only Starts VIA fob. No Ignition Start.

Really looking for some help with this one. I cant figure it out for the life of me.

Issue:
2012 Ford F150 3.7L will only start when I use the remote starter fob, and put the key in the ignition to start.
If I try to start the truck from the key(s), I get power to the dash and everything works, but nothing at all happens when I go to start.

Background Info:
I took the truck to a locksmith. Told me both my keys have signals to the truck.
He tore apart the steering column as he says sometimes the lockset needs to be shimmed. Nothing.

I have checked most fuses, but truck still runs with fob so I believe they are good.

I did have a long term issue where I would put the key in the ignition and it wont not start RIGHT AWAY. I would have to wait 3 to 10 seconds and I could hear a click, which I BELEIVE was left side dash, and when I would here the click, I could start the truck via the ignition. I just used the truck with this slight inconvenience without problems. Now no matter how long I have the key in the ignition the click never comes, and I cannot start the truck via ignition.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I am so stumped, and I would like to save thousands in garage labor if possible.

Thank you.

Because your 2012 F-150 3.7L starts with the remote fob but won’t crank from the key (dash powers up, no click, no crank), the engine, battery, starter, and likely the anti-theft system are fine — this points strongly to a start circuit control issue. The fact that you used to hear a delayed click from the left dash before it would crank suggests a failing ignition switch electrical portion or a starter relay that was intermittently engaging and now has stopped completely. First, try starting it in Neutral and wiggle the shifter to rule out a range sensor issue. Next, swap the starter relay in the fuse box with another identical relay as a quick test. If you have an aftermarket remote start, inspect its wiring carefully. These systems splice into the ignition/start wires and can block the key-start circuit when they begin to fail. Most commonly on this generation F-150, this ends up being the ignition switch electrical portion rather than anything major, so I would start there before spending serious money at a shop.
