Clearing "Check engine Light" '09 F150
Ok, so I had a P0130 or some such code (O2 sensor, passenger side, upstream) on my truck. Cleared itself after a few days, then came back on steady.
So yesterday I replaced the O2 sensor. (PITA, with getting a wrench and my hands up in the tight space)
What do I have to do to clear the "Check engine Light" icon on my dash?
Have a scanner plugged in and clear the code?
Or keep driving and it will go away?
Or is there something else I should be testing for, causing the issue?
Thanks all

After replacing sensors I always clear the code, run a few drive cycles and then hook the scanner up to make sure nothing else is complaining.
Last year I replaced an O2 sensor on a Jeep Cherokee and somehow I didn't snap the connector back in all the way. IIRC it was in a tight spot.
Long story short, I cleared the code, but didn't drive cycle it or bother to further check the system.
Friend had to drive back and had me look at it. Killer part about it was letting it cool off so I didn't burn myself...
Won't be the first time...
