need advice about my driver seat. as you can see in the pics, the cable which drives the left rail of my driver seat forward/backward has twisted off. hence, my seat will not move forward. a local mechanic said that the only way to fix this is to basically replace the entire seat assembly. seemed a bit excessive. after doing some research, i have some questions:
1) is it possible just to replace this one cable/motor? or do i really have to replace the entire assembly?
2) based on the diagram, it appears that the cable and the motor are two separate pieces
-- how exactly does this work?
-- can i just order a new cable? does it simply insert into the motor?
admittedly, i have not yet taken the seat out and seen the inner workings underneath.
