’09 F150: Driver’s Door Won’t Latch
While out and about today I noticed the interior door latch was not returning to the flush position. I start thinking “What do I have to replace?”
Well, about two openings and closings of the door later, the good news is the door latch now returns to the flush position.
The bad: now the door won’t latch. (Which resulted in a fun 5 mile drive home. Holding the door closed, listening to the “Door ajar” home... Just glad the trip wasn’t farther.)
Edit to add: When I pull on the inside door latch of the passenger side, I can hear noise form inside the door, like an actuator or rod or something is moving to actuate the latch. I do no hear this from the driver’s side door.
Anyway, any idea which piece of plastic broke and I need to replace?
Thanks all

Don't know how it happened, but the cable that extends from the backside of the interior door handle to the latching box was kinked.
It was kinked so badly the cable was in a bind, and wouldn't move.
Replaced it, problem resolved.
And my apologies to the plastic gods
